Cinema Adriana is one of Florence's oldest cinema halls - and before its transformation into a multiplex cinema it was also the largest in all of Florence. The space was also one of the first cinemas to implement the Dolby Stereo system and to become fully accessible: by removing a number of architectural barriers, the cinema transformed into a fully accessible space, including for individuals with hearing disabilities.
In the summer of 2000, the cinema was restructured to accommodate two comfortable cinema halls. During this time, Zaggiro hall and Rubino hall were digitalized: the former was given a high-definition 3D screen system equipped with glasses for viewers.
Watching a movie in the historic cinema is an experience you can’t miss: the spacious halls feature incredible acoustics and excellent visibility from every seat, which are not only comfortable but also spacious. And the cinema’s real treasure is none other than its film schedule: the multiplex adheres to Fice (the Italian Federation of Arthouse Cinemas) and often hosts viewings of classical music concerts or films outside of the classic commercial circuit.
