EVENT NAME: Jenny Saville's Widespread Exhibition
EVENT PLACE: Museo Novecento, Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, Museo degli Innocenti, Casa Buonarroti, Palazzo Vecchio
EVENT DATE: 30 September 2021 - 20 February 2022
EVENT DESCRIPTION
The project conceived and curated by Sergio Risaliti, Director of the Novecento Museum, invites citizens and visitors to discover the art of Jenny Saville, considered one of the most influential contemporary painters, born in Cambridge in 1970 and former star of the Young British Artistis. His works are today among the most expensive and sought after in circulation. A true artistar!
The one hosting Florence, in collaboration with Saville, is a widespread exhibition: with the Museo Novecento with the largest number of the artist's works, some from the 90s and others created especially for the event, the others are exhibited in various museums Florentines: Palazzo Vecchio Museum, Opera del Duomo Museum, Museum of the Innocents and Casa Buonarroti Museum. The exhibition, promoted by the Municipality of Florence, is organized by MUS.E and supported by Gagosian.
Following Jenny Saville, you can therefore take the opportunity to visit the city center and some of its most important museums.
