EVENT DESCRIPTION
A small but interesting exhibition entitled “Tin boxes, what a passion” kicks off on Friday 10 June 2022 with small and large antique tin containers at the Antonio Mattei Bottega Museum in via Porta Rossa 76 / R in Florence.

The specimens on display, fifty boxes, many from the period, tell the old custom of selling tea, biscuits, cocoa or coffee in tin boxes, which have now become collectors' items.

Following the thread of memory, the Biscottificio Antonio Mattei, which has never abandoned tin cans since 1858, has decided to showcase the tin cans of the family collection: square, round, large or small, in bright colors or more subdued, certainly arouse the curiosity of visitors.

But the exhibition is also an opportunity to present to the public and customers two new Amerigo and La Rossa tin packs which contain respectively 125 g of Prato almond biscuits - the classic Cantucci or Cantuccini - and 125 g of biscuits with dark chocolate.
