On March 31st, 2022, the end of the state of emergency from COVID-19 was declared throughout Italy. As of June 1st, 2022 a Green Pass or equivalent certificate is no longer required to enter Italy from EU Member States and other foreign countries.

Starting from 1st May 2022, the green pass is no longer required to access activities and services.

Starting from 1st October 2022, the use of FFP2 or other types of masks is no longer mandatory in local, regional and interregional public transport and in all indoor sports shows and competitions. However, it is recommended to wear respiratory protective devices in all public indoor places or places open to the public.
