Florence gets into costume for the Firenze Cosplay Festival, which will take place in the Cascine Park from 2 to June 4. An entire festival dedicated to cosplay lovers is finally arriving in Florence!

From 2 to June 4, 2023, the first edition of the Firenze Cosplay Festival will take place in cosplay! From June 2 ^nd to the 4^th 2023, at The Cascine Park. The event is a collaboration between Ultravox Eventi (which manage the events held in the park) and the organizers of the Vinci Unicorn Festival, a historic cosplay event that will reach its 17^th edition this year (21 to July 23 in Vinci).

The event will bring together fans of cosplay (from costume and play), a term coined in Japan in the 1980s. The term identifies the art of dressing up, playing a part, and having fun. Cosplay is loved by true nerds and comic enthusiasts and has attracted millions of fans over the years.

Cosplay is about having fun without embarrassment and feeling free to be whomever you want!

How does the Florence Cosplay Festival in Florence take place?

During the festival, cosplayers will take over the Cascine Amphitheater. They will be given access to photo sets and machines from the world of cinema, music, and fantasy. There will be booths for over 150 exhibitors from the world of comics and crafts.

In particular, there will be four themed areas:

• Star Wars
• Lord of the Rings
• Game of Thrones
• Harry Potter

as well as many food areas to choose from. The event will be free for all three days. Doors will open at 10 am and close at midnight.
