March 2024 in Florence: Be.Free!

Events and experiences this March with Destination Florence.

Visiting Florence in March offers unique experiences as the city awakens from the winter quiet and welcomes visitors with milder weather. The Boboli gardens begin to bloom, and the city prepares for the Florentine New Year and the traditional Scoppio del Carro on Easter Sunday. Outdoor cafés in the squares allow you to taste Tuscan cuisine while enjoying the first days of spring.

Tip of the month: March sees International Women's Day, making it the perfect opportunity to take our walk to discover magnificent works by female artists in Florence, often overshadowed by their contemporaries! Artemisia Gentileschi, Plautilla Nelli, and Elisabeth Chaplin are just some of the artists who have left an indelible mark on the cultural heritage of this city. Be.Free!
