April in Florence: The Lilies Bloom!
Be.Floral – Events and Experiences This April with Destination Florence.
April is, de facto, the month of the lily. The lilies (iris), the symbol of this city, bloom on the Florentine hills, and spring takes over with its colors and fragrances, making this one of the best seasons to visit Florence. You might find yourself here right on Easter Sunday, April 20, and witness the grand local traditions: the Scoppio del Carro (Explosion of the Cart) and the Volo della Colombina (Flight of the Dove)!
As every month, and especially during peak seasons, holidays, and major festivities, we remind you to always respect the city with #EnjoyRespectFirenze.
