From Florence to Mugello and back by bike: the path of the "Granfondo" (long distance bike race) runs through some of the most fascinating locations of Florence and surroundings. The historic centre of the city, Fiesole and the hills of Mugello, between the Middle Ages, nature and modernity: 118 km for the most trained, and 84 Km for the others. This year the start is in via Calzaiuoli between Piazza Duomo and Piazza Signoria and then Ponte Vecchio, Via de' Bardi, Ponte alle Grazie, Lungarno della Zecca, Lungarno del Tempio, via Piagentina, viale De Amicis, viale Righi, via di San Domenico, Fiesole and Mugello. Six towns along the route: Fiesole, Borgo San Lorenzo, Scarperia, Barberino del Mugello, San Piero a Sieve. The headquarters of the "Granfondo" is at the Pavoniere, in the Cascine Park
