Minivan car service with pick-up and departure for San Gimignano: the excursion takes you through Chianti, land of the world renowned wine Chianti Classico. This spectacular wine route, known as the ”Chiantigiana”, offers a view of rolling hills with vineyards and olive groves. It touches on quaint, hilltop towns like Greve in Chianti, famous for holding the oldest market in the area (XII sec.), and for having given birth to Giovanni Da Verrazzano, the famous explorer who discovered America. For lunch, an organic farmhouse, famous for its homemade products, waits us: here it is possible to savor the famous balsamic vinegar, a unique product of Chiantishire. Next, after enjoying the lovely landscape dotted with little villages, we will visit a typical farmhouse

for the wine tasting of some of Chianti’s best. Our excursion leads us to the town of San Gimignano, famous for its many towers, where we will walk through the historical center and enjoy some free time to ourselves. Back in Florence, we join a guided tour that will explore the history, its influence and power, of the Medici family. We will discover the exceptionally beautiful “Palazzo Vecchio”, symbol of the political life of Florence. The guided visit includes a tour of the spectacular Salone dei Cinquecento designed by Giorgio Vasari for the Grand Duke Cosimo I, the rooms dedicated to the Medici Pope Leo X, the famous room of the Elements, the apartment of Eleonora, and the numerous areas decorated with the masterpieces of celebrated artists of the Renaissance such as Michelangelo, Donatello, and Verrocchio.

The tour ends in Piazza della Signoria at roughly 5 o’clock.
