If you are in search of Tuscan food at its finest, this is the place to come.

The market is open every morning, apart from holidays, from 7am to 2pm, partly outdoors where there are stalls selling food and clothing, and also indoors (food only), in a building built in 1873 designed by Giuseppe Mengoni, in line with the other city market built at that time, the Mercato Centrale in the San Lorenzo neighbourhood. 

At Sant’ Ambrogio you will find all kinds of food, from meat to fish, fruit and vegetables as well as eateries serving traditional Florentine cooking
