The guided tour takes you on the discovery the workshop of the Opera del Duomo.

Here the stonemasons still work with traditional tools and dedicate their passion and skill to the maintenance of the vast heritage of decorative carving and monumental sculpture in Piazza del Duomo.

Following the tour you enter in the Cathedral. The sober Florentine Gothic style embraces artworks rich with religious and civic significance, such as the clock by Paolo Uccello, the frescoes by Vasari and Zuccari and the great masterpiece by Filippo Brunelleschi, the Dome.

To complete the tour you’ll visit the Baptistery, the oldest monument in the Piazza del Duomo and a symbol of the city, being dedicated to Saint John the Baptist, patron saint of Florence. The Baptistery is an extraordinary example of Romanesque architecture, enriched with a thousand square meters of mosaics.
