The Marathon of Florence passes through all the historic centre starting from Piazzale Michelangelo: you can run along the Arno river, through the trees of Parco delle Cascine (Florence’s biggest park), across Piazza del Duomo square, Piazza della Signoria square, and the most popular places of the city. This year the start and the finish line, after 42 km is in Piazza San Giovanni, in frant of the Duomo
The race is included in the international calendar of IAAF (International Association Athletics Federation), AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Road Races) and FIDAL (Italian Federation of Light Athletics).
