Description:

At the beginning of the 15th century, the works of Filippo Brunelleschi and Donatello marked the beginning of the Renaissance in architecture and sculpture. Your private tour begins with the Bargello Museum which offers a complete journey through the Florentine sculpture of the Renaissance, from the masterpieces of the early fifteenth century to Michelangelo and Cellini, to reach the mannerist virtuosity of Giambologna at the end of the sixteenth century.

After the Bargello, your private visit will continue to the Uffizi Gallery where the masterpieces of Tuscan and Florentine painting from the Gothic to the Renaissance await you.

Here your private guide will show you that prodigious artistic development that, from the Gothic of Giotto, Duccio and Cimabue, will lead in the early decades of the 15th century to the modernity of Masaccio and later to the masterpieces of Filippo Lippi and Botticelli.

These painters, thanks to the patronage of the great Florentine families and in particular of the Medici, gave birth to an ideal vision of the classical world that in those years the artists and philosophers of the court of Lorenzo the Magnificent were rediscovering.

Then, with the masterpieces of Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael, the transition from Humanism of the fifteenth century to the full Renaissance took place.

The tour takes place from Tuesday to Saturday.
