Fiesole excursions between nature and culture: Looking over the Arno river from Fiesole

What you will find

Some different proposals for simple hiking paths on the hills of Fiesole on Sunday morning. The excursions are free of charge but must be booked in advance at the Fiesole tourist office- Via Portigiani, 3 Fiesole From along the banks of the Arno river (where sand dredgers used to work, now transformed into beautiful gardens), we pass Girone’s Gualchiere (wool-fulling mills), and climb toward Borgo di Settignano, where we can admire Villa Gamberaia and the old Borgo degli Scalpellini (stone masons’ quarter).
