From July 23 to 25, 2025, the "Festival au Désert" returns to Florence for its 16th edition curated by the Fondazione Fabbrica Europa per le Arti Contemporanee ETS. The events will be held in the suggestive Parco delle Cascine. A three-day event that blends cultures and musical traditions from Africa, the Mediterranean and Europe, with artists such as Zawose Queens, Kalifa Kone and Riccardo Onori.

Born in 2010 from the collaboration between the Festival au Désert del Mali and Fabbrica Europa, the Festival au Désert Florence aims to present the great names of contemporary world music. The festival offers a unique opportunity to discover the best of world music, involving artists from the Sahel, North Africa, the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
