From the 16th to the 19th of November 2018 the Biennal wine and gastronomy exhibition returns, the benchmark event dedicated to promoting the eno-gastronomic industry, which has been recording the increase in interest and participation with each edition, not only on national, but also international level. The 6° edition will take place in an exceptional florentine location: La Fortezza da Basso.
Florence is renowned worldwide for its artistic and architectural heritage, as the cradle of the Renaissance and the capital of the Tuscany region, as well as one of the most historically rich cities in all of Italy. The identity of Florence has always been very strong, with rich traditional flavors of the Florentine and Tuscan cuisine, the main protagonists of the exhibition, that have been reimagined and will be proposed again at La Biennale in an innovative way. Therefore, the theme of the event is: The tradition that renews itself. The main goal of the event is to unite all the protagonists of the agricultural world, raw materials producers and the most skillful chefs and pizza chefs of the moment, so that tradition and innovation of the agricultural industry can come together.
The exhibition will involve professionals and experts of food, wine, oil and beer, in addition to a rich selection of food products of excellence.
The visitors will have an opportunity to take part in over 12 wine-tasting sessions guided by highly qualified professionals, participate in thematic workshops focused on traditional Tuscan products, meet the coolest pizza masters of the moment and famous and/or starred chefs, to live a truly extraordinary life changing culinary experience!
Another central point of this year’s event is to highlight foreign excellences in the field. There will be booths dedicated to guest countries, offering a great opportunity to introduce and appreciate high quality products, such as wine, with the aim of increasing exposure and demand in Italy and coming into contact with experts, agents, clients, such as restaurants and wineries, key players in eno-gastronomic communication or simply aficionados. The location and exhibition spaces are at the Fortezza da Basso, prestigious and strategic headquarters, easily reachable from the Amerigo Vespucci International Airport, which is only 5 km away, a short walk from the historical center and from the Central train station Santa Maria Novella, the point of arrival of high-speed trains from the airport of Pisa, from Rome and Milan.
