Born in Florence in 1959 I have studied Art History at the University of Florence where I graduated, and Fine Arts in London ( B.A. Byam Shaw/Saint Martin's 1990, M.A. Camberwell 2000). I now live and work in Florence. Since 1984 I have also been writing on contemporary art and photography for international publications and since 2008 I have written a blog on the contemporary art scene for Controradio. I teach Contemporary Photography and History of Fashion Photography at IED Firenze and at Fondazione Studio Marangoni. My paintings are in public and private collections in Italy, England and America. My three artist' books are in the permanent collections of TATE Modern and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
