MENSOLA ITINERARY #slowflorence

What you will find

THE TERRITORY
This route presents aspects of great naturalistic, landscape, monumental and panoramic interest, offering a varied picture of one of the most beautiful (and most praised) areas of the surroundings of Florence in the north-east quadrant, the one between the Valle del Mensola (river which is born in Fiesole and flows into Arno at Rovezzano) and the Settignano hill. It is mainly a Protected Natural Area of ??Local Interest (ANPIL), characterized by the typical Tuscan landscape where the woods, broad-leaved and coniferous species, alternate with riparian and row vegetation, parks, gardens and agricultural areas where the vine and the olive tree stand out and in which the presence of cypresses, pines and oaks is imposing ...
