MONTE DELL'ARNO ITINERARY #slowflorence

What you will find

THE TERRITORY
This path, of environmental and landscape interest, takes place to the east, on the left and right bank of the Arno, between the Ponte San Niccolò - at the foot of Viale dei Colli - and beyond the Ponte di Varlungo (first of the bridges upstream of Florence ) up to Sant'Andrea a Rovezzano, on the right bank, through gardens and parks on the two banks of the river. This short and suggestive stretch of plain, between the river and the hills, is framed to the north-east by the nearby hills of Fiesole (295 m asl) and Settignano (175 m asl) and to the north by the Incontro (557 m asl ) and of Monte Pilli (360 meters above sea level) offers, upstream, wonderful views of the hills dotted with villas and, downstream, remarkable views of the historical-monumental part of the center of Florence ...
