As traditionally the city's free New Year's music events will take place in the main squares of the historical centre of Florence to celebrate the New Year's Eve. This year's programme includes 20 events spread in the historic center (and not only), each space dedicated to a different musical and entertainment kind, as part of the Florence Light Festival, dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of the Moon landing, which will have its peak just on New Year's night: Piazza Signoria, dance and circus shows and light shows; Piazza Poggi dance music and light shows; Piazza SS.Annunziata music show and entertainment for families; Piazza Duomo Gospel music; Piazza San Lorenzo jazz music; the Oltrarno district travelling marching bands; at the Loggia del Pesce, del Grano and del Porcellino a lunar walk for adults and children; in Piazza del Carmine rap music concert by Mr.Rain and Martina Attili.
