EVENT DESCRIPTION:

The Estra Florence Marathon is, in Tuscany, the main road running event and is, at national level, second only to that of Rome, while it is among the top 20 most important marathons in the world for quantity of participants and quality. The marathon crosses landscapes and monuments throughout the historic center of the city of Florence. Start and finish of the marathon in the heart of the city (Piazza San Giovanni, in front of the Duomo), along the classic distance of 42.195 km that crosses the most evocative spaces of Florence, such as the Cascine park, the Lungarni, Ponte Vecchio, the sports complex of Viale Manfredo Fanti.
