Saint Joseph rice fritters festival

Every year, since 1969, the rice fitters festival takes place on the weekend of St. Joseph's day (March 19) in the enchanting old village of Montefioralle in the municipality of Greve in Chianti, in the Chianti valley. You can taste the rice fritters made according to the traditional old recipe and fried in the iron pan with a diameter of 3 meters. You can also enjoy "vin santo" wine and delicious sandwiches made with the local salami. On Saturday from 3pm to 7pm and on Sunday from 11am to 7pm free shuttle bus service leaving from Piazza Trento every 30 minutes, with stop at the little chapel of S.Anna
