Among these, you can admire the Fountain of the Ocean by Giambologna, the Fountain of Neptune, the Amphitheater, the Egyptian obelisk, and the Mannerist Cave of Buontalenti, the multifaceted artist who, in addition to being an architect, painter, sculptor, scenographer, is considered the inventor of ice cream!
This magnificent park was built in the 16th century by the Medici Family, who called the best landscape architects of the time to create a superb Italian garden which later became the model for the grand royal gardens of Europe.

A short distance from Boboli, you can admire Bardini Garden. English gardens, woods, vegetable gardens and orchards, ornamental statues, and an incredible tunnel of wisteria make the park of Villa Bardini one of the most fascinating green areas of the Oltrarno District.
