Today it is an unmissable panoramic road in the Arno valley, across the Balze (canyons), and rolling hills dotted with olive trees. The tour is led by an expert nature guide.

Description
E-bike tour along the ancient Etruscan and Roman road called Cassia Vetus, which linked Fiesole (Florence) with Arezzo. It was used by pilgrims and merchants. Today it’s an unmissable panoramic road that winds through rolling hills dotted with olive trees, villas, hamlets and 11th-century churches. The views on the Valdarno valley, the Chianti mountains and the Balze (canyons) are simply beautiful.
Along the road we will stop to visit the villages and the churches, the first of which is the one of Saint Peter in Cascia (X – XI century), where the adjoining museum is home to Masaccio’s revolutionary painting: the Triptych of Saint Juvenal, dated April 23rd 1422.
To end the day, we will stop at a local pub under the arched loggia of the main square in Reggello to enjoy craft beer and other local delicacies prepared by Gianni & Nicola.
The route can be adjusted to suit the fitness level of the participants. There are two options available, one longer (50 km - +/- 1300 meters elevation gain) and one shorter (38 km - +/- 900 meters elevation gain).
