EVENT DESCRIPTION

From 7 October 2023 Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi presents a new major exhibition conceived and created with Anish Kapoor, the famous master who revolutionized the idea of ??sculpture in contemporary art.

Anish Kapoor's works combine full and empty spaces, absorbent and reflective surfaces, geometric and biomorphic shapes. Kapoor investigates space and time, inside and outside, inviting us to explore the limits and potential of our relationship with the world around us and to reflect on dualisms such as body and mind, nature and artifice.

From the 1980s to today, Anish Kapoor has established himself as one of the most important artists on the international scene, eschewing categorizations and distinguishing himself for a unique visual language that combines painting, sculpture and architectural forms. His works arouse amazement and unease, destabilizing our perception and creating spaces and forms in which to experiment and reflect between the known and the unknown.
