Badia Fiorentina
In the first half of Dante's life, the building was the political, religious, and economic center of Florence: here, the Priors (office held by Dante himself) and the Magistrates of the Florentine Republic used to meet.

The Bargello
The oldest public building in the city, at the time of Dante, was the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo (a sort of today's prefect). The Bargello today is a museum, famous for hosting the Donatello's David and other antiquity works by Florentine artists. Here, in the Maddalena Chapel, is located a portrait of the Supreme Poet.

Palazzo Vecchio
In the Museum annexed to the Palace, still today seat of the political power of the city, it is possible to admire Dante's funeral mask in plaster.
The tour will end with an explanation of the most interesting details of Piazza Signoria, today as in the past, one of the most beautiful and famous square in Florence, representing the beating heart of the city.
Some triplets from the Divine Comedy dedicated to the political life of the city will be read by the guide to crown the visit.
