What you will find

EVENT NAME: The Rose That Grew From Concrete
EVENT LOCATION: Sant'Orsola Museum
EVENT DATE: September 5, 2025, to January 4, 2026

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

The third and final edition of the "exhibitions in progress" before the official start of the complex's redevelopment, this group exhibition brings together thirteen Italian and international artists who engage with the space of the former monastery not only to recount its transformations but also to symbolically heal its wounds.

Through site-specific works created with different languages and materials, each artist reinterprets the cycles of occupation, construction, and abandonment that have affected the site, paying homage to the power of nature, capable of insinuating itself between the cracks of the concrete and flourishing even in the most hostile conditions.

The Rose That Grew From Concrete is an exhibition about resilience and the possibility of rebirth, even among ruins: a choral tale that uses the past as a root from which to start again.
