EVENT DESCRIPTION
The exhibition is a preview of the museum which will open definitively in 2023. It presents fundamental themes of Italian linguistic history through multimedia stations and precious documents from museums, archives and libraries from different parts of Italy.
The first room is enriched by a frieze that around the yes, in whose sonority Dante already expressively synthesized the characters of the Italian language, aligns the different forms of affirmation in numerous languages ??of the world. A timeline, animated by significant images, offers the main moments in the history of the Italian language, also related to the fundamental historical and artistic events in Italy and in the world.
Four audiovisual stations are dedicated to the central themes that have characterized and characterize the Italian linguistic history. The readings are enhanced by the interpretations of famous actors: Stefano Accorsi, Glauco Mauri, Elena Sofia Ricci, Roberto Sturno.
In the second room, dominated by the spiral staircase designed by Giuseppe Martelli (around 1825), it is possible to read, in a carousel of projections, some memorable phrases by great Italian and foreign authors on the value and power of the word and on love for Italian; two interactive audio-video stations offer fun questions and answers about the history of some words and the current fortune in the world of voices in the Italian cooking lexicon.
