The River to River Florence Indian Film Festival was founded in 2001 with the aim of presenting the best of recent Indian cinema, combining a passion for India and cinema.

The name symbolically unites the Ganges River and the Arno River together with their cultures.

In the years "River to River Florence Indian Film Festival" has screened the most recent feature films, short films and documentaries, accompanied by meetings with their protagonists (directors, actors and producers) as well as special sections and tributes dedicated to great masters of Indian cinema.
