When in Florence, don't miss dining at Cibrèo food shop and restaurant, an integral part of the overall theater project. First envisioned by Maria Cassi, the Circo-lo del Sale is indeed a new and alternative form of entertainment that joins food to music, performance and prose. 

In a space adorned with vaulted ceilings and columns, while seated on ‘director’s-chair’ seat, you can delight in an evening of delicious food served in a semi-buffet style. And you can be sure that the menu adheres to the traditional models of Tuscany’s age-old recipes. Accompanying your meal are Maria Cassi’s brilliant monologues, concerts, theatrical shorts and other treasured performances that never fail to be varied and interesting in form. 

Cassi created the theater alongside her husband, Fabio Picchi, who both imagined the theater as a large “retroshop,” a space to house their never-ending project: to propose their life philosophy through the fusion of art, culture and cuisine.  

Circo-lo is a cultural association offering about 240 performances a year: membership is required to take part in its selection of shows.
