Espresso Coffee Academy: Guided Tour and Tasting

  • Up to 10 Participants
  • Available in: Italian, English

What you will find

An immersive experience for all coffee lovers in the splendid Accademia del Caffè Espresso in Florence.

FULL PROGRAMME

Is coffee your life partner? This experience will lead you to a greater understanding of its flavor and its processing, enjoying the wonderful spaces of the Accademia del Caffè Espresso, located on the hills of Florence a few steps from the center.

The Academy was born from the visionary project of La Marzocco in what was once the old factory, or "l'Officina" as everyone called it. Within those walls, a small group of ingenious craftsmen changed, day after day, the way of understanding the espresso coffee machine. They were passionate connoisseurs of the raw material and profound connoisseurs of the technology linked to the extraction processes.

Today, Accademia is an open, shared space: a magnetic pole that attracts, connects, and generates passion and expertise in the all-Italian and by now global ritual of espresso coffee.

During the guided tour, accompanied by specialized guides, you will discover the historic gallery of La Marzocco, which summarizes over 90 years of history and innovation in the world of espresso coffee machines, the room dedicated to the technology of espresso coffee machines, the room of the origins, to get closer to 4 coffee-producing countries, and of the indoor coffee greenhouse, which represents the environment of a Central American plantation.

At the end of the guided tour, it will be possible to taste four different coffees and learn more about coffee and learn more about the complex and varied world of espresso drinks.
