EVENT DESCRIPTION

From 10 July 2023 a the Uffizi Gallery, 12 halls will be inaugurated with 255 different works.

Six hundred years of art history summarized in 12 rooms, dedicated to self-portraits and portraits of artists, from the fifteenth to the twenty-first century, including video artists and cartoonists.

The route offers a selection of 255 works, including paintings, sculptures, installations and graphics. It is an opportunity to meet a large group of protagonists of art history, including: Andrea del Sarto, Federico Barocci, Luca Giordano, Rubens, Rembrandt, the great Neapolitans De Mura and Solimena, but also Francesco Hayez, Eugène Delacroix, Arnold Böcklin (the author of the famous Island of the Dead), Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, Elisabeth Chaplin, Adolfo Wildt, Marino Marini.
