Traveling along the Via degli Dei offers not only an immersive experience in nature, but also the possibility of discovering the history and culture of the lands crossed, making it an unforgettable experience for lovers of trekking and scenic beauty. from Sasso Marconi to Monzuno

Departure from Sasso Marconi towards the Pliocene Buttress Reserve, first through the Prati di Mugnano, Monte del Frate and finally the climb to Monte Adone, one of the symbols of this journey, will be one of the unforgettable moments of this journey, on the descent pay attention to the fossils ! After a stretch of asphalt road you will arrive at the small center of Monzuno.

3rd DAY - Km 29 (Difference in altitude +/-: +1250 m/ - 1100 m)

from Monzuno to Monte di Fo'

Leaving Monzuno behind, you will resume your journey crossing a centuries-old chestnut grove and the ridge on the main Emilian peaks to arrive at Madonna dei Fornelli. You are now in the heart of the Via degli Dei and this will be an intense but exciting stage: you will in fact travel along various stretches of the military Flaminia, a Roman road dating back to 187 BC. and you will arrive at the largest German Cemetery in Italy, symbol of a wound that has never healed.

4th DAY - 22.5 km (difference in altitude +/-: +700 m/ - 1250 m)

5th DAY - 20.2 km (difference in altitude +/-: +960 m/ - 710 m)

from San Piero a Sieve to Olmo

The Medici Fortress and the Trebbio Castle will greet you on this day where we will leave Mugello to enter the Florentine hills. The culmination (in every sense!) of the walk will be the spectacular Convent of Monte Senario, at 815 meters above sea level, with a balcony that offers a panorama from which you can mentally retrace your journey.

6th DAY - 18.5 km (difference in altitude +/-: +400 m/ - 800 m)

from Olmo to Florence

Last day of walking through olive trees and cypresses. Don't rush to get to your destination, dedicate some time to Fiesole, a terrace overlooking Florence, and its archaeological area, unknown to most but a true Italian jewel. Then the descent towards Piazza della Signoria. .
