“La Bohème” is an opera that captures the spirit of youth, painting the beauty and illusion of an era of dreams and utopias against the enchanting backdrop of Belle époque Paris. The story of Mimi, Rodolfo, Marcello, Musetta and their bohemian friends, immersed in the cold winter of the Ville Lumière, will enchant audiences with their hopes and chimeras.

This performance, which mixes opera and prose, engages and moves, transporting the audience on a journey through Puccini's music and the images evoked by the artists' words and actions. The tale is not limited to the opera itself, but also explores the life of the great composer Giacomo Puccini, revealing the significant events of his time and the characters who surrounded him.

The performers on stage will take us on a fascinating journey through dozens of characters who constantly change roles to tell the deep connection between art and life, bringing to life a passionate and melancholy portrait of the great master of Italian music.

This show is presented by Venti Lucenti, with the support of the Fondazione Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and in collaboration with the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
