Prestige and excellence are two words which characterise Enrico Verità, one of the oldest watch maisons in Italy. Founded in 1865, a large clock outside the store ticks as people pass by on via dei Calzaiuoli.
Enter the doors and you will see a magnificent pendulum swinging, directing your attention to the array of elegant and refined timepieces on either side.
Head towards piazza della Repubblica to discover Pestelli jewellers on Borgo Santi Apostoli. Founded in 1908 by Edoardo Pestelli who had trained at the famous Marchesini jewellers, you are immediately struck by the creativity and refinement of these creations. Featuring mosaic work, corals and pearls as well as the more traditional silverware, the focus has always been on quality rather than quantity, resulting in original pieces that are truly one of a kind, even favoured by royals and the Vatican and featured in Museo degli Argenti at Palazzo Pitti.
