In May 2018 Biscottificio Antonio Mattei opens the Piccolo Museo Bottega in the heart of Florence, to celebrate the 160th anniversary of its foundation.

It is an old fashioned space completely restored, with simplicity and elegance that have always distinguished the image of the company, where you can visit the collection of objects, photographs and documents dedicated to the story of Biscottificio Mattei and Pandolfini family, who leads him from 1904 when they received it from Antonio Mattei, and where it is also possible to taste and buy the products.

A unique opportunity to discover testimonies, photos, documents, historical packaging, crowning the experience with SPECIAL TASTINGS completely Made in Italy.

The story of the 160 years of Biscottificio is divided into 5 sections with panels and exhibitors showing the various phases of the work, the working tools, the historical packaging and the evolution of the historic blue bag and other packaging solutions during the years.

The birth of this small museum also wants to underline the synergy and promotion between the two territories of Prato and Florence, through opening a space to tell a story of Prato in the heart of Florence, to disseminate both Italian and international audiences values of a neighboring territory still to be discovered by the great international gourmet tourism, and not only.
